Princess Aisha returned after an extended trip to African to handle the ongoing building project for the school and to receive the shipment of donations from California. She had to return to California before she could accompany the shipping container back to Tamale to get it settled, but it has finally arrived there safely!
The container included bicycles, sewing machines, clothes, furniture, school supplies and more for the school and community projects. It was quite an adventure getting it from the port in Tema up to Norther Ghana during the rainy season, but the container and its the supplies finally made it to the village! Apparently, when the truck arrived, it was raining and people were so excited it arrived, the village had a celebration and procession following the truck along to the site! I wish we had had someone taking pictures, but perhaps just being present and imagining the scene can bring a smile to our faces :)
Here are are some pictures of the walls and progress on the foundation from late 2018 for one building that will be part of the campus.
